Ḫaššumili
This unique necklace is made from lapis lazuli carved stone using the antique lost wax casting technique, hand-molded in sterling silver. The chain part consists of Roman glass, making this piece truly one of a kind.
This necklace takes its name from Ḫaššumili. In Luwian culture, the serpent was associated with the storm god Ḫaššumili and was considered a symbol of power and might. The serpent figure frequently appeared on Luwian royal seals, and serpent sculptures and reliefs are common in Luwian art.
In ancient times, the snake represented the power and mystery of nature, embodying the cycle of death and rebirth. It was seen as a significant figure, symbolizing strength and authority.
Each OTHEOSUFI product is handcrafted by its designer, who trained as an artisan in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul, using wax, making each piece unique. This process gives the product its authentic antique beauty. Each design has a unique story. Every pendant is hand-carved, assembled, and slightly unique. These are limited edition items, and once sold out, they will not return.
